Green Records is excited to announce A Plastic Bag Filled With Water, the third full length album released by south London based musician JQ. Split into thirds, the album's narrative begins with bright and brittle instrumentation, followed by distended hypnagogic pads, and finally a series of decaying loops.

The sonic world of JQ evokes a gentle, fun and kaleidoscopic experience. Containing samples taken from intimate conversations, YouTube, adverts, and public address systems, the album questions the private and shared world, technology, and aging using the delicate placement and playful use of samples, collected sounds and synthesis.

"The music on A Plastic Bag Filled With Water spans a number of years, with some songs dating back from over a decade ago when I first started using Garageband, The album begins with older songs and moves chronologically, aiming to highlight not only personal and musical changes, but also cultural and technological movement over time."

JQ has previously released music with Lo Recordings, Gondwana, New Atlantis, and Post-Geography. He is an active member of the band Forgiveness. He has held residencies on NTS and Noods.
